Brad Van Den Bussche, B.Sc. Honors Geology, P. Geol.
President, CEO and Director
Mr. Van Den Bussche is a Professional Geologist with a Honours degree in Geology from the University of Manitoba and 30 years of exploration and corporate experience, in both the mining and energy business, where he has worked as a geologist, project manager, and executive in both a corporate environment and as a consultant. Mr. Van Den Bussche has worked on and managed numerous feasibility studies, exploration programs, due-diligence evaluations and project assessments of both minerals and energy projects in Canada, the United States, Asia, Latin America, and the UK. The last 10 years, he has been heavily involved in corporate management and company financing through his positions as director and officer with several junior companies.
Since 2004 Mr. Van Den Bussche has been VP Exploration for a Number of Junior Exploration Companies where where he was responsible for project identification, new project development and all aspects of exploration.
Ian Fraser, P. Geo
Vice President, Exploration and Director
Mr. Fraser is a Professional Geologist with a Bachelors degree in Geology from Laurention University and 30 years of exploration experience in the mining business, where he has worked for both Major and Junior mining / exploration companies in Canada and Internationally. Mr. Fraser has organized, supervised and been involved in numerous exploration programs designed to explore for nickel-copper-PGE, gold, uranium, base metals, coal and diamonds throughout Canada and gold in Colombia South America, including 5 years on the Rottenstone PGE-nickel-copper Project in Northern Saskatchewan.
Mr. Fraser has spent half his career in mineral exploration in Saskatchewan and was Project Geologist / Chief Mine Geologist responsible for the design of exploration programs resulting in the discovery of several gold deposits, within the La Ronge Gold Belt, northern Saskatchewan; one of which, the Komis Deposit proceeded to underground bulk sampling and eventual production. His expertise is in the understanding of geological models and structural settings for various types of mineral deposits and the application of various geological, geochemical, geophysical techniques and methodologies to explore, discover and develop mineral deposits.
John R. Morgan
Mr. Morgan is a senior mining executive with a B. Sc. Geology from the University of British Columbia. He has over 35 years of experience with increasing responsibility in managing both domestic and international mining operations. Recognized as an individual with a strong technical and financial background able to deliver solid results in challenging and dynamic business environments. Experience includes direction of numerous public and privately owned companies as well as an internationally owned joint venture. Proven operational results in increasing profitability through increasing production levels and quality, and reducing unit costs while improving both safety performance and environmental compliance levels. Considerable domestic financial management experience including direct involvement in private placements, convertible debt financing and debt financing including an initial public offering and increasing shareholder value during a hostile take over. Foreign financial experience in operating with multiple currencies in a business environment incorporating steep local currency devaluation, high inflation, and currency controls. Able to create and motivate goal orientated management teams in both domestic foreign, and cross-cultural foreign business situations.
Operational experience includes both dragline, and truck and shovel mines, management of a coal transportation chain, including maritime operations, and direct contact with clients regarding management of coal quality specifications and a solid background in the international coal market.
Served on the Board of Grande Cache Coal Corp. for five years until it was purchased for C$1 billion in early 2012.
Leader of a team which acquired, evaluated, financed and commenced construction of a gold property in Nova Scotia with Atlantic Gold Corporation that will produce an average of 84,000 ounces per year for over nine years.
Mark G. Cummings, CPA, CA
Mr. Cummings is a Chartered Accountant with an Honours Degree in Commerce from the University of Manitoba and 30 years of financial and accounting experience. Mr. Cummings is a senior financial executive with considerable hands on experience in operations, human resources, corporate governance and general management roles. Expertise includes financial and operational restructuring and turnarounds.
Mr. Cummings is currently the Chief Financial Officer of the Kraus Group, one of the largest integrated carpet and flooring manufacturers and distributors in North America with facilities in Canada and the USA.
Prior to Kraus, Mr. Cummings held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility within the Sofina Foods group of companies including CFO of both Janes Family Foods and Santa Maria Foods. In addition, he has held a number of senior roles including General Manager, BML Group, with responsibility for Canada’s largest Budget Car and Truck rental franchise, Senior Vice President, Finance & Operations for PARA Paints, a leading Canadian coatings manufacturer, responsible for all financial, manufacturing, distribution, quality, human resource, and R&D related activities of the company and Senior Manager, Financial Advisory Services, specializing in Insolvency at Coopers & Lybrand in Toronto.
